Job Title: Youth Worker- East London- Challenging Behaviour
Calling all Youth Workers & Mentors- Our school in East Ham needs you. Our SEND school in East Ham require 1:1 support workers to assist students with severe behaviour and mental health difficulties. This role is to start ASAP until at least July 2022 following enhanced DBS and file checks - Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm/4pm) - £90-£100 a day depending on experience The students within the school are no longer able to attend mainstream school or a PRU due to the severity of their behaviour. The school will match you with the correct student either within Primary or Secondary phase dependant on experience, knowledge and skillset. These roles require extreme resilience, care and commitment due to the challenging behaviour. With this in mind, we will only be submitting committed support workers who can and will make a difference to a child’s school life regardless of the challenges they may face within the role. A number of students are prone to violence, swearing etc. to which the school will provide extra training to de-escalate situations that may arise. Everyday is different within this role.
