Job Title: Teaching Assistant, primary
Axcis are currently working with a mainstream primary school in the Preston area, near the Deepdale area and they are seeking a teaching assistant, on a full time basis.
The school, is based on the outskirts of Preston and is accessible via public transport. The school is Ofsted graded “good” and it is a small, one form entry school. The school cater for KS1 / 2 students, many of whom have English as an additional language and many of their students also have special educational needs. Some of the pupils in school display challenging behaviours and candidates applying for this role should be confident in their de-escalation skills.
The role, will be full time and school hours are 8.45am – 3.30pm Monday – Friday. The role is long term, to start as soon as possible and there may be the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff after an initial handover period. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 or small group basis with some challenging students, or those who require additional support.
The candidate applying for this role should be confident, hard working and resilient as well as having some childcare experience, ideally education experience. The candidate must be available full time and able to start within the next few weeks, on a long term basis.
