Job Title: Teaching Assistant, Primary SEND
Axcis are currently looking for a teaching assistant, for a full time role in a primary SEND school in the Preston area. The school are hoping to appoint a long term teaching assistant, who has special educational needs experience and is seeking a long term, full time role. The role will be predominantly based in KS2 and you’ll be expected to provide support for students with autism and speech & language difficulties. The ideal candidate will have experience using PECS and/or Makaton, but this is not essential. The school is based in the Preston area and caters for students with additional needs and can no longer remain in mainstream education. The school are hoping to appoint a hard working teaching assistant who has some experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs. The school is Ofsted graded “outstanding” and behaviour in school is usually very good. The role is full time and will start as soon as possible, on a long term basis. The role will require a confident candidate, who has SEND experience and is happy to provide personal care if required.
