Job Title: Teaching Assistant- Berkshire
Axcis Education are currently looking for a teaching assistant with SEND experience to work in an excellent special school in Slough.The successful candidate will provide classroom support in the classroom to children aged between 4-16 years old.
This role will start in ASAP and will be on a full time basis between the hours of 8.30-16.00, Monday to Friday term time only. For the right candidate this position could be available for the duration of the academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teaching assistant that wants to gain experience at a school with excellent facilities.
The school is a special free school for children and young people with a primary diagnosis of autism. It currently caters for a maximum of 92 pupils between the ages of 4 and 16 years.
The aim of the school is to provide a suitable environment with a high level of therapeutic support and excellent teaching to allow pupils with autism to achieve their full potential and to make the most of their intelligence, focus and skills.

Many of the children in the school are non verbal and therefore the ability to use communication aids such as PECS and Makaton would be an advantage although you will be provided with ongoing training throughout your role.
