We have an SEND teaching assistant job for a experienced teaching assistant with experience of working with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties pupils. About the position: You will be working with a particular year group supporting in a wide range of lessons and enrichment activities. You will be helping in a range of duty's and some off site tutoring so driving would be distinct advantage. Also someone that was willing to be MIDAS trained to drive a minibus would also be a great advantage. Resilience is an essential trait as the children have challenging behaviour; you must have a calm nature and ability to de-escalate situations. The successful candidate will be creative, flexible and have a natural talent for working with students who exhibit challenging behaviour. This role would be to start immediately and for the right person there is a strong likelihood that the position could be extended or swapped to a permanent contract About the school: The school is a secondary special school for students with social, emotional and mental health needs. A majority of the students thrive via a varied curriculum that is practical based and introduces students to and enhances their experiences via an enrichment programme.
