Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - ADHD
Axcis are looking to appoint a learning support assistant, to work with pupils in a mainstream primary school, on a 1:1 or small group basis.
The school in question, is a medium sized, Ofsted graded “good” primary school in Widnes. The school caters for children aged 5 - 11 years of age. The school are looking to appoint a learning support assistant, to provide educational and emotional support for pupils who require extra help in lessons. Often, the pupils you will be working with have additional learning needs or special educational needs and require a patient, empathetic and confident support assistant to help the engage fully in lesson.
The role will be full time and school hours are 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday – Friday. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who have additional needs and provide the class teacher with general classroom management. The role will start in the new academic year and staff in school are welcoming and enthusiastic, they’re looking forward to a new member of staff joining their growing team.
The candidate, should be; hard working, compassionate and a team player; the candidate should have experience working with children, ideally within an education setting and be seeking a long term position.
