Job Title: SEND Teacher - ASC/ SLD - Secondary
Axcis is currently working with a specialist secondary school in Salford that are looking for an SEND Teacher to begin in the upcoming weeks until the end of the academic year. The role will involve delivering basic English & Maths, as well as ICT. Some pupils are currently working at p-levels, so experience in differentiating to that level is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching within a special needs setting and will hold a teaching qualification. Experience of differentiation is essential as pupils are currently working across a number of abilities; including p-levels. Experience of teaching students with a range of additional needs such as ASC, PMLD or SLD is essential. A good understanding of speech language and communication; as well as sensory needs is essential too. This special school caters for pupils aged 11-19 with a range of SEND including ASC, PMLD and SLD. Senior leaders are passionate about their learning community and have created a happy, progressive setting for their pupils to thrive in.
