Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Axcis Education are currently working with a mainstream primary school in the PL6 postcode area of Plymouth who are in need of a full time teaching assistant to support pupils with additional needs. Working hours will be Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 3.30pm, term time only. This is a medium sized primary school (2 form entry) with excellent public transport links as well as a large staff car park. The school have recently established a nurture group to support KS2 aged pupils who have SEMH and the school are looking for a full time, experienced teaching assistant to support the children within this nurture group. Nurture groups are focused intervention for children with particular social and emotional difficulties which are creating a barrier to learning within the mainstream classroom. To be considered for this full time teaching assistant job, you must have had some prior experience of working with children in a primary school or childcare setting and experience of supporting individuals with challenging behaviour. However, no specific qualifications are required.
