Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant - Secondary
Axcis Education is proud to be working with an excellent PRU in Salford that is looking for a teaching assistant. The role is full-time and will begin ASAP.
The ideal candidate will be calm in nature and have an understand of a variety of de-escalation techniques. The teaching assistant will have experience of engaging pupils in alternative provisions or PRUs. High expectations must be expected of students at all time. The ideal teaching assistant will have strong numeracy and literacy skills.
This role is a general teaching assistant support role and would be working in a small class of 8 students in KS3/ KS4. Students at the PRU display challenging behaviour as they have a range of additional needs such as SEMH.
This PRU is based in Salford and has an excellent reputation in the local area. Strong senior leaders are committed in their quest to ensure that every student makes progress regardless of their starting point. This KS3/4 PRU boasts excellent facilities throughout and has great transport links locally to Manchester City Centre.
This role is to begin ASAP and will be on a long-term basis, potentially until the end of the academic year.
