Job Title: Secondary SEND Teacher
Axcis Education is working with a specialist school in Winkleigh, Mid Devon to recruit experienced, engaging Secondary Teachers that have experience of working within challenging behaviour, SEMH and ASC. The school is based in a semi rural location, 35 minutes from Exeter, Barnstaple and Oakhampton. All pupils have been referred to the school from mainstream education and this school provide a creative & nurturing learning environment, in addition to a range of therapies that support student social development specialising in supporting ASC and SEMH pupils. The role will be to teach classes of 6 -8 pupils across general curriculum or focus on Maths, English or Science. Supported by specialist LSA's, you will deliver creative lessons that engage the pupils. The school offer a very flexible environment where there is the opportunity for outside learning and a variety of alternative educational projects. For this role, it is essential that you have QTS and prior experience in either a secondary or SEND school with a compassionate and child centred approach.
