Axcis Education is recruiting on behalf of a mainstream primary school based on the outskirts of Warrington for a teaching assistant to provide general class support. This would be a full time role, working 8.30 - 15.30 Monday to Friday, in an ongoing basis. The successful candidate would be support the class teachers on a rotational basis, assisting where needed each day, working with children aged between 4 and 11. Some children do have SEND requirements so understanding or prior experience with ADHD, dyslexia, autism or SEMH would be desirable but is not essential. The school is a well regarded mainstream primary school rated 'good' by OFSTED . Class sizes are often between 20 and 25 students with 1 or 2 teaching assistants supporting the class teacher. The school has excellent facilities and takes its responsibility to SEND inclusion very seriously. There are no specific qualifications required for this role but the successful candidate must have prior experience working with primary aged children ideally in a school setting. Prior experience with SEND requirements such as those mentioned above will be look upon favourably.
