Job Title: Primary TA
Axcis Education are recruiting Team Teach trained and certified Teaching Assistants in the Exeter area for a January start - full-time work on a long term basis with the opportunity to become a permanent role.
The school is an alternative provisions covering primary and secondary pupils with SEMH, trauma and Challenging Behaviour. With an impressive, child centered approach based on nurturing and respect, the school has superb facilities and a very supportive, specialist team.
The role is to work on a 1-1, 2-1 or small group basis with KS1 and 2 pupils with a range of behaviour difficulties. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.45pm. The daily pay rate will be between £75 and £80 per day. These roles are full-time and on a long-term basis.
The ideal candidate will have Team Teach training and a minimum of 6 months working in an alternative provision or have worked with students with SEMH. A lot of these pupils have had difficult home lives and have been let down many times. You must have a calm nature and ability to de-escalate situations. These pupils need a positive role model and the right candidate will be resilient, empathetic and understanding.
