Job Title: Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are working with a mainstream primary school situated in the Saltash area of Cornwall who are seeking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant. This position is full time, working hours will be Monday – Friday, 8.30 – 3.15, term time only. The school require a confident teaching assistant to work on a 1-1 basis with a Key Stage Two pupil who is autistic and also has speech and language delay and social and emotional mental health needs. You will be well supported by the class teacher, SENCo and other members of senior leadership. The school is easily accessible by public transport and so access to a vehicle is not essential for this position. If you would like to apply for this full time SEN support role, you should have experience of working with individuals with additional needs – ideally in a school environment, although this is not essential. Knowledge of Makaton would be advantageous. You should be able to commit to this position ongoing.
