Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant - Vale of Glamorgan
Are you an experienced TA in PMLD? Axcis want to hear from you! Axcis have a vacancy for a teaching assistant at a school in Vale of Glamorgan working 1-1 with a primary aged child with PMLD, aged 8 years old. You will be supporting the child throughout the school day to attend all of their classes and you will need to do personal care and manual handling. Your experience may come from being a carer or support worker with either adults or children. This fantastic specialist school uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. The school is small but well resourced and has a fantastic atmosphere upon entering the grounds. Situated in Vale of Glamorgan and with excellent links to public transport the school is easily accessible. The client is looking for people who have had extensive amount of experience in PMLD. The position is in-class support - you may be expected to work one to one, in small groups or provide general in-class support as required. Experience of working with children or adults with PMLD is essential and you will be expected to do personal care as well as manual handling. If you are a caring, friendly and patient individual then this could be just the kind of role you're looking for. The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEND teaching assistant who has worked with KS1 AND KS2 children with PMLD in a special needs environment.
