Job Title: Learning Support Assistants, Part and Full Time
Axcis are working closely with a FE College that are based in Filton that are looking for learning support assistants to assist their SEN students. The students are doing a range of subjects from Animal Care to Construction and many more and the learners are aged 16+. Needs range from Aspergers, ASD and challenging behaviour.
Ideally the college are looking for people who can work 5 days per week 9am - 4pm however they will consider people who might only be able to do 2-4 days.
Both the part time and full time support roles would be long term, likely until the end of the academic year so time for yourself and the student to strike up a very good rapport with one another.
The college is ideally looking for candidates who have experience supporting those aged 16+ but also candidates with a passion for supporting learning in a variety of subjects. It is worth mentioning that specific subject knowledge is not needed, instead it is more important that the approach to learning and support is correct.
