Job Title: Learning Support Assistant, Complex Needs
An amazing job opportunity has become available for a special needs learning support assistant to start at a special school in Godalming on a full-time basis immediately. This well-regarded special school in Surrey stands on 56 acres of wooded grounds with ample space for recreational activities. The school caters to up to 150 pupils and Sixth Form students between the ages of 7 – 19, who have a range of academic abilities and complex needs. New staff members will support students with a range of complex needs and will be joining a specialized team that includes other teaching assistants, learning support assistants, and qualified therapists offering Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Sensory Integration. Additionally, there are purpose-built medical facilities where nursing cover is provided on a daily basis by qualified staff. Experience offering personal care, manual handling, and having experience working with children and young people with complex needs would be ideal for this job. You must have an enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service to be considered for this role.
