Job Title: Care Assistant
Axcis are working closely with an education and care setting, based near the Carnforth area, who are looking to appoint a care assistant for a full time role, starting as soon as possible! The role, will start within the next few weeks and it is a permanent position! The role will require you to work with children who have additional needs including autism, MLD and some challenging behaviours. Some of the students also have some medical needs and require medication administration or personal care. The role will require you to work roughly 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday, but extra shifts over the weekend, or evenings, will be on offer as overtime. The school is attached to a care home and your time may well be split between education and care. The school and care home are based in the Carnforth area, but, they are not accesisble via public transport so you must be able to drive or get a taxi to the school. The candidate, must have some SEND experience and be willing to provide personal care if required. The candidate should be hard working, flexible and a team player. The candidate will be required to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who require extra care.
