Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant
Axcis Education are working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Plymouth who are seeking to appoint a behaviour support assistant to work within their primary setting. This position is full time. Working hours will be Monday – Friday, 8.30 – 3.15, term time only. This provision caters for both primary and secondary aged pupils who have complex social, emotional and mental health needs. Pupils who attend this school have been excluded from mainstream schools for behaviour reasons. The successful applicant will be supporting a variety of children aged between 5 and 11 years. The school is easily accessible by public transport and so access to your own vehicle is not necessary. To apply for this full time behaviour support assistant position, you should have had previous experience in supporting individuals with challenging behaviour and/or SEMH. You do not necessarily have to have worked in a school setting, although this would be advantageous. You should have GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent).
