Job Title: Youth Worker, Behaviour Support
Axcis Education are a special needs agency who have recently started to work with schools in the Plymouth area. We’re currently recruiting for youth workers who are interested in working within schools or. We have a number of roles within pupil referral units and secondary schools supporting students with social and emotional mental health & behaviour issues. As an agency we can offer you a variety of short and long term placements as well as part and full time roles. The settings we work with provide crucial support and education to some of the most vulnerable young people in the area. The young people you will be supporting are often disillusioned and disengaged and require one to one support. Some may display challenging behaviour and may have been excluded from mainstream education. These are challenging but highly rewarding roles that often become permanent for the right people. We are looking for proactive, reliable people with a genuine passion for enabling young people in challenging circumstances to reach their full potential. Some experience, personal or professional, of working with people with additional needs is essential: however, we actively encourage people from outside the education sector with relevant knowledge and experience to apply. Pay starts at £75 per day (school hours) and we are looking for people who can work at least 3 days a week.
