Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are working with a mainstream primary school in the PL3 area of Plymouth who require a teaching assistant to support children within their Early Years Foundation Stage. This position is full time and working hours will be 8.30am - 3.15pm, Monday - Friday, term time only.
The school are seeking an experienced and confident teaching assistant to support various children within the foundation stage class on a 1-1 basis. Some pupils will require emotional support, whilst others have challenging behaviour. There will also be some elements of intimate care involved due to some children not yet being confident in their toilet training. As well as 1-1 support. you will also undertake all of the responsibilities of a general classroom teaching assistant.
To apply for this full time teaching assistant position, you will be flexible, resilient and have a firm but caring nature. You should not be phased by intimate care or difficult behaviour. Previous experience of working within a nursery or primary school setting would be an advantage.
