Job Title: Teaching Assistant
I am currently working with a mainstream primary school in Birmingham, who are based in the Moseley area. They are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one basis with 2 of their new reception pupils who have autism. The pupils are currently doing 1/2 days but are looking at being integrated into the school on a full time basis. You will need to be experienced in manageing challenging behaviour and autism and be confident in working with EYFS age groups. The position is for an ASAP start for the right candidate and at this stage is up until the October half term with the possibility of being ongoing for the full academic year. Job details: • SEND Teaching Assistant role • Working with 2 reception aged pupils who has Autism • 5 days a week full time • Until the end of the academic year • ASAP start date • Personal care will be required at times • What you need to apply… • A teaching assistant qualification preferred (either level 2 or above) • Experience working with early years or Key stage 1 • Experience working with autism is a MUST • A current DBS on the update service or must be willing to obtain one • Experience working in a school environment The school offers a very supportive environment and they are very community focused, with plenty of events and activities.
