Job Title: Teaching Assistant, Special Needs
Axcis Education are recruiting for teaching assistants to work on a temporary basis supporting pupils with special needs in mainstream schools in the Plymouth area. The roles can last from one week to a couple of months and are often covering unexpected absences. You should have a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs, be able to work independently and proactively and act as a role model in both your attitude and professional behaviour.
We work with all types of schools and settings and much of our work is on a 1-1 basis within mainstream schools. We always try to secure you placements that are within easy commuting distance from where you live. Pay starts at £75 per day (school hours).
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience within schools and many of our candidates go on to work permanently in our schools or successfully gain places onto PGCE courses.
If you are available immediately for at least 2 days per week, are flexible and hardworking and have a current DBS that is on the update service, or are willing to have one processed by Axcis, then please get in touch ASAP as we’d love to hear from you!
