Job Title: Teaching Assistant, SEND
Axcis are looking to recruit a teaching assistant who has experience working with children with severe learning difficulties.
The school is an SEND specific provision in the Chorley area and candidates applying for this role must have some SEND experience. The school caters for all age groups, but they are specifically looking for a teaching assistant to work in their KS2/3 classes with pupils who have severe learning difficulties and some, physical disabilities. Many of the students in this school require personal care and ideally, the candidate will be able to assist with medication administration.
The role is full time and will start as soon as possible on a long term basis. The role will continue until at least Christmas, but likely, it will continue for the rest of the academic year. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with students who have additional needs.
The candidate, should be hard working, empathetic, resilient and have some experience working with children who have additional needs. The candidate must be available full time and able to work the hours of 830 – 330 in the Chorley, Lancashire area. Pay for this role starts at £11.33 per hour!
