Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEND - Primary
Axcis Education is working with an excellent primary school in the borough of Trafford that is looking for a SEND teaching assistant from January 2022. The ideal teaching assistant will have experience supporting primary aged students with SEND on a 1:1 basis. An understanding or direct experience of working with attachment needs is desired, as is an ability to adapt to the changing needs of the pupil. The pupil does display some challenging behaviour, therefore a good understanding of de-escalation and distraction is essential also. This larger than average primary school is based in Trafford and has an inclusive approach to teaching and learning. Support for pupils with SEND is very good with excellent resources and staffing evident in each classroom. Behaviour at this school is a notable strength; this was highlighted by Ofsted in a recent inspection This primary school has excellent transport links with both M60 and the metro link being very close by. This is a full-time 1:1 support role and will commence in January 2022 and will run the end of the academic year.
