Job Title: Teaching Assistant- SEMH- West London
Axcis are looking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant to work in a PRU (pupil referral unit) based in West London.
The school is in a good location and is easily accessible via local public transport links. You must have an understanding of working with young people with special educational needs and disabilities and have a real desire to make a difference.
You will be working across KS3 and KS4 providing 1:1 and group support for pupils who are showcasing challenging behaviour. You will be inspiring and motivating pupils to re-focus on their academic requirements, while providing social and often emotional support and role model guidance
This PRU(pupil referral unit) role is to start ASAP and could last for the duration of the academic year for the right candidate.
Ideal candidate:
"Previous experience preparing pupils for reintegration into schools
"Excellent behaviour management skills
"DBS on the update service or willing to apply
"Experience with challenging behaviour
