Job Title: Teaching Assistant Primary School
A vibrant primary school located just outside of St Helen's town centre are seeking to appoint a behaviour support assistant on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work within year 2, supporting a number of pupils who are struggling with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Applications are encouraged from applicants who have experience in supporting:
Children with behavioural difficulties
Children with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH)
Children in residential care
Children in a Youth Work environment
The successful Support Assistant will work alongside classroom teachers and senior leaders to provide academic and pastoral support to individual pupils. The role will involve delivering programmes of work outside of the classroom and providing in class support to encourage positive behaviour and to raise self-esteem. Support will also be provided to students with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs to support their academic and personal welfare.
Highlights of this position:
Full time position until the end of the academic year. (July)
Supporting students with behavioural difficulties and social and emotional mental health needs.
Providing in class support and delivering programmes of work outside of the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
