Job Title: Teaching Assistant, Behaviour
Axcis are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work on a long term basis, in a behavioural unit in the Preston, Lancashire area. The school is based fairly centrally in the Preston area, near the Fulwood area. The school is accessible via public transport but also has plenty of on site parking for car drivers. The school are hoping to appoint a teaching assistant on a long term basis to work with students who have additional needs and / or display challenging behaviours. The school are Ofsted judged "good" and although the behaviour can be challenging, generally speaking, students are respectful of staff. The role is full time and school hours are 835am - 315pm Monday - Friday. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with students who require additional needs and those who require extra support, particularly to manage their behaviour or their emotions. The candidate should be hard working, empathetic, enthusiastic and have experience working with children who have additional needs, or, challenging behaviours. The candidate must be hard working with a passion for working with students who are disengaged, or struggle with education. Pay for this role will start at £11.33 per hour.
