Job Title: Teacher -West London
Axcis education is looking for a fully qualified SEND teacher to work with students with a wide range of special educational needs (predominantly autism) at an excellent special school in the west London area. The role will start ASAP and will be a full time position. As this is a teaching position you will be expected to plan and mark lessons and may be required to attend out of hours department meetings. Situated in west London the school has excellent facilities and is housed in a purpose built site. The school caters for a wide variety of needs for students between the ages of 4-16 years old. The aim of the school is to provide a suitable environment with a high level of therapeutic support and excellent teaching to allow pupils with autism to achieve their full potential and to make the most of their intelligence, focus and skills. Teaching and learning will be based on the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the National Curriculum. Some key facts about the school: -Maximum of 8 pupils per class, 96 pupils at -National curriculum - modified to suit the individual needs of each child/young person -Individual plans for each pupil setting targets and monitoring achievements in Behaviour, Academic work, Social and Life Skills and Enrichment activities -The school has baseline adult to pupil ratio of 1:2, and a family support worker and transitions officer based on the school premises. Due to the nature of the pupils at this school, Axcis are looking for someone who is patient, able to confidently differentiate learning to cover individual goals and have a proven track record for attainment.
