Job Title: Speech and Language Learning Support Assistant - Barnet
A nurturing primary School based in Barnet is looking for a talented Speech and Language Learning Support Assistant to become a key member of their school community.
The ideal Speech and Language Teaching Assistant will be a graduate who has previous experience supporting SEN children. You will be working closely, on a 1:1 basis, with a Year 1 child who has difficulty communicating using speech sounds, synthetic phonics and narrative groups to primary aged children as directed by the Speech Therapist. You must have the skills to jump right in at the deep end and communicate on every level within the school.
You must be the kind of teaching assistant who is willing to take on extra responsibilities and can demonstrate commitment. You will also need to show a sincere interest in the wellbeing of your pupils as a SEND teaching assistant and be able to provide dedicated pastoral support.
This is a full-time role to start as soon as possible and will continue on for the rest of the academic year.
