Job Title: Special Needs teaching assistant - Primary - Barnet
Axcis are currently working with a ‘Good’ two-form entry primary school based Barnet who requires a SEND teaching assistant to provide support for SEND children in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
The ideal teaching assistant will be enthusiastic and reliable with knowledge and experience of SEND, especially ASD and Downs Syndrome. You will be expected to provide 1:1 and small group learning support and be willing and able to establish a supportive relationship with the pupils and to monitor their response to learning activities Experience of Makaton and PECS is highly desirable but not essential.
This is a full-time role to start ASAP.
Pay £75 – 85 a day.
About the role:
• SEND Teaching Assistant for Early Years and Key Stage 1 pupil.
• Full time, (Mon-Fri)
The ideal candidate:
• Experience working with Key Stage 1 or Early Years pupils
• Experience with ASD and Down Syndrome
• PECS or Makaton experience – highly desirable but not essential
