Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Needed
I am currently working with mainstream primary school based in Handsworth, Birmingham. They are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one basis with a year 1 pupil who has Autism and behaviour difficulties. The child is working at a lower level and requires support with communication also. The position is for an ASAP start and would be until the end of the academic year for the right candidate.
Job details:
• SEND Teaching Assistant role
• Working with a year 1 pupil who has autism and behaviour difficulties
• 5 days a week 8.30am till 4pm
• Duration until October half term with the possibility of extending
• ASAP start date
• Personal care will be required at times

What you need to apply…
• A teaching assistant qualification preferred but not essential
• Experience working with EYFS or primary
• Experience working with autism is a MUST
• A current DBS on the update service or must be willing to obtain one
• Experience working in a school environment
