Job Title: SEND Residential Roles Available!
Axcis Education is recruiting for multiple candidates to work in residential settings across Bolton. This would be a highly flexible role with candidates able to choose their shifts for the upcoming month from a wide range of shifts and locations. Shift times are typical 7-8 hours and are a mix of early, late and school day shifts. There is no commitment to work a set number of shifts and the successful candidate would be able to choose the shifts to suit their lifestyle and routine. The role would involve working alongside other experienced support workers to assist SEND individuals aged between 11 and 25, typically in homes with 2-3 children or adults, though some houses are slightly bigger with 4-6 individuals. The main SEND requirements would be working with those on the autism spectrum and learning disabilities, some of whom are non-verbal. There are also some behavioural issues, though this is rare. A degree of personal care would be required in many cases. The successful candidate would help with meal prep, cleaning, accompanying the children on activities and day trips as well as keeping them company and engaged. This role would suit those coming from a variety of backgrounds, such as SEN school support staff, care settings or residential settings. Previously experience with SEND is crucial for this role. Candidates must be prepared to provide personal care. This is an exceptional opportunity for a rewarding, highly flexible role that could be part or full time depending on each applicant’s preferences.
