Axcis Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching assistant to join an SEMH school in the Bootle area This exciting new role starts ASAP on a full time basis and would be to work with primary aged pupils with SEMH on a full time basis through until the end of the academic year. The school is a purpose built SEND school and supports pupils who are not able to work in a mainstream School. Pupils may be referred to the school for a term or longer and the school follows the national curriculum but adapts the teaching style to best support the pupils. The ideal candidate needs to be empathetic, engaging and have experience supporting SEMH pupils in a school environment. If you have at least 1 years experience supporting SEMH pupils and a background in supporting challenging behaviour particularly in PRU settings. Should you have positive restraint training this would also be beneficial.
