Job Title: Secondary Food Technology Teacher – Special Educational needs school
Axcis are currently Looking for a Food Technology to work in special educational needs school on Oldham. This is a full time role that with the possibility of a permanent contract with the school. The school supports children from 11-19 not only developing their key skills but also providing them with skills beyond school life. This is a fantastic role for a experienced or recently qualified teacher to work in an outstanding facility with the opportunity of retaining a permanent contract.
The school has an Outstanding rated provision which caters for 380 pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, from moderate learning difficulties to profound and multiple learning difficulties, including severe and complex learning difficulties. The school also caters for pupils with physical disabilities, multisensory impairments, visual impairments, hearing impairments and specific conditions including autism spectrum condition. All pupils have an EHC plan. In order to cater to the needs of the range of pupils the school has developed a range of different provisions. The school is on a major road located close to the town centre, parking spaces are limited. However, public transport is close and frequent.
For this role you will require QTS and be qualified to teach food technology. Experience of working with children with a range of additional needs would be preferred, however the school would be interested in looking at candidates who have experience of working in mainstream secondary.
