Primary Teaching Assistant required for 1:1 Autism Support in Ealing Axcis are currently working with a mainstream primary school in the Ealing area that require a full time teaching assistant to provide 1:1 support for an Autistic year 5 pupil. The child enjoys English and Maths but often struggles with maintaining focus and will benefit from a TA who has experience in supporting students in a similar capacity. The primary teaching assistant will engage the child, providing them with creative learning tools if and when they become distracted from the lesson. This role is ongoing with the potential to become long-term. The mainstream primary school is based in a central, extremely accessible location within the borough of Ealing and provides parking for all staff. The school caters for primary aged children with classes of up to 25 children, a few of whom will have children with aspects of special needs. The school is a strong advocate for providing the necessary support to pupils that require it. Therefore, they have facilitated the building with a sensory and therapy room to ensure each child has the tools to develop within a mainstream environment.
