Axcis Education, leaders in SEND recruitment, are looking for a teaching assistant in a top-of-the-range autism unit located at a primary school in the Knowsley area. This will be a full time role starting immediately and carrying on throughout the whole academic year.
If you are an experienced SEN TA looking to progress your career, this is a perfect opportunity to do so. After spending a year with this autism school, there is great opportunity for progression to be employed on a permanent basis and be responsible for six autistic children. You will cater for children in KS1 and report directly to the SENCO. The school is easily accessible via public transport and is located in the town centre.
You will be responsible for three students and will rotate your days with each pupil on a 1:1 basis. The pupils posses challenging behaviour and have complex learning needs. The school choose to use multiple teaching assistants to support pupils so they can build relationships with a range of adults.
To be considered for this role, you must have SEN experience. Specific qualifications are not essential but would be beneficial. Axcis can support training needs with a range of CPD and safeguarding courses and online resources as well as a personal consultant who will be available to assist you along the way.
