Job Title: Primary Teacher PRU
Do you have previous SEN experience and are looking for an exciting and rewarding opportunity? Axcis Education are recruiting a primary teacher to cover all KS2 subjects at a secure centre with a great reputation in Knowsley. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is a PGCE or QTS and experience working with SEMH students. The unit is based in St Helens and caters for pupils who present challenging behaviour and are experiencing some degree of social, emotional and/or mental health difficulty. The students can often demonstrate verbal or physical aggression so the successful candidate will have strong behaviour management experience. You will need to act as a positive role model and be resilient in challenging situations. This is a full-time role teaching all subjects cross KS2 to students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Ideally you will be trained in de-escalation techniques. We can provide Team Teach training to help support candidates without this qualification.
