Job Title: Primary SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is delighted to be working with a mainstream primary school, based in Leigh, who are searching a for teaching assistant to join their team on a temporary basis to assist with SEND needs within the school. This would be a full time position, working Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm on an ongoing capacity.
The successful candidate would be providing a mix of general class support and 1-1 work, helping to assist pupils with SEND requirements. Prior experience of working with ASD and ADHD is essential for this role. Prior experience with SEMH and dyslexia, dyscalculia or dyspraxia will be looked upon favourably. This role is based in a lovely mainstream primary school rated 'good' in its most recent OFSTED inspection.
There are no specific qualifications required for this role but the successful candidate must have prior experience working with primary aged children ideally in a school setting. Prior experience with SEND requirements such as those mentioned above is essential.
