Job Title: Newham- Challenging Behaviour Support Worker
Axcis is currently looking for candidates for a large number of ongoing Youth Worker positions in the East Ham and Barking area. The school/PRU is part of a trust that provides an alternative educational setting for children and young adults with extremely challenging behaviour. The pupils are prone to physical and verbal aggression. Therefore, I am seeking candidates who have experience with aggressive/challenging behaviour/SEMH. The school will be offering trial days to shortlisted candidates. If successful, you will then be paired with a pupil who you will mentor throughout their school journey. I will be considering applicants from a number of backgrounds including: - Security/Police/Prison Officers - Self Defence/Boxing/Sports Instructors - Previous PRU Workers/Youth Workers/Behaviour Mentors The pay is between £90 and £105 per day (8:30am-3:30pm) dependent on experience. This role is long term, full time with the potential to become permanent. You must have a DBS on the update service and 2 recent references to work in this school.
