Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
A special school in Alcester is looking for a learning support assistant to come and work on a full-time ongoing basis. This school has around 12 students in a class with mixed SEND requirements. You will be working in a year 2 class and will be responsible for working 1:1 with an ASD pupil who also has some SEMH needs. The special school has access to some great facilities that the LSA is encouraged to take full use of. They are facilities such as a sensory room, computer room, and “chill out” pods. The school is very supportive and will also try and acquire any other resources that are requested to further support the SEND pupils. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in supporting students with SEND requirements, it is also beneficial that this is supporting ASD pupils. It is desired but not essential that the candidate have a qualification relating to supporting education or SEND students. A DBS on the update or a willingness to purchase one prior to start is essential.
