Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Pupil Referral Unit
Learning Support Assistant - KS 3 1:1
Axcis Education are currently working with a mixed secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in central Liverpool that are looking for an experienced teaching assistant for an immediate, full-time start. The position is working on a one to one basis with a 14 year old female pupil with challenging behaviour. Although support is required in core subjects (English, Maths, Science) the curriculum also includes activities outside of the class room.
NQTs or TAs who are looking to gain experience in a special needs/PRU setting are welcome to apply.
Experience of working in a PRU/SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) setting is therefore highly desirable, although if you have worked as a teaching assistant in a challenging secondary environment, this is also appropriate experience for this position.
This Learning Support role is to start immediately, Monday - Friday 08:30 - 15:30, with excellent rates of pay.
At Axcis we provide ongoing CPD training including access to Team Teach training, which would be highly desirable and useful in this particular role - Team Teach training would also significantly enhance your CV and help with future job applications.
