Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Primary
Axcis are pleased to be working with a special school in Brixham who are looking to recruit an experienced SEN learning support assistant to work with small groups of KS2 pupils with autism, SEMH and ADHD until end of July 2022. Full-time hours - 8.50am to 3.20pm, Monday-Friday.
The school has a very friendly atmosphere and a supportive environment, and is well liked by all staff we have sent to them in the past. Situated in a central local, the school has been described as having a positive and inclusive working ethos and has excellent links to public transport.
You will be a role model, mentor and daily support to the pupils you will be working with and will need to be able to establish good working relationship. Resilience is an essential trait as the pupils have challenging behaviour and experience working with children with ASD and SEMH is a must. You must have a calm nature and ability to de-escalate situations. The successful candidate will be creative, flexible and have a natural talent for working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours and anxiety.
This role pays £80 per day paid on a weekly basis.
