Axcis are looking for all Drama graduates. Are you on the lookout for experience within the SEND sector to improve your career prospects? Axcis want to hear from you. We work with a number of SEND schools, pupil referral units and alternative provisions within the area. We have some 1-1 positions as well as general in-class support; many of our roles are extended into longer term and permanent contracts for people who make a good impression. The suitable candidate will have a passion to work with pupils with special needs for this role and you will have a real desire to make a difference. You will need to be adaptable, flexible and able to develop good relationships with the children you are working with. You could be working with children with disabilities such as autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, Downs syndrome, Cerebral Palsy to name a few. Drama students who have performed at schools or worked with children in workshops would be perfect for this role. If you are outgoing, creative, good at role play and adapting to new environments this may be the job for you. You can use your Drama skills in a SEND school story telling, assisting in sensory rooms and using your facial expressions to engage those who are non verbal.
